The story about what happened to Patrick's paw changed as time went by. The most fitting version is that he got his paw caught in a door when it was accidentally shut on his limb. He received surgery and his healing will be slow, but he's a good little trooper. Read Patrick's story.

Adele was brought to a local municipal shelter as a discarded object. She arrived with battle wounds. It was obvious she had been in a fight with another dog, maybe two. She received medical attention and we are happy to report she was adopted and she LOVES to sleep. Read Adele's story.

Spartacus
Spartacus
Spartacus required surgery to save his sight. The single mom who had adopted him contacted a rescue group because she could not afford the cost. He received treatment and a new home, and now happily shreds toilet paper and paper towels with cattitude. Read Spartacus' story.

Callie
Callie was rescued from a property that would be considered the farm animal version of a puppy mill. The owner had purchased Callie gotten a “good deal” on her because she had a large tumor. Thankfully, she was rescued from there with her baby and she recovered well. Read Callie's story.

Lincoln
A local rescue group saved Lincoln on the day he was to be put to sleep. He had a severely injured back leg. His left hind limb had sustained such damage that it was impossible to save. Lincoln gets along well on three legs and is thriving in his foster home. Read Lincoln's story.

When placed on the vet's table, May the kitten promptly fell over, lurched to the right, then flipped off the table. Her rescuer caught her in mid fall. “I lifted her up to my face and she reached out to me and started to purr.” When she was diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, her rescuer stepped in. May can now stay upright in a homemade walker contraption, in which she can run and play.Read May's story.

Scrappy
Scrappy the horse broke out of his pen and wandered into the middle of a field of weeds where he had laid down, exhausted. From about 100 feet away, his rescuers could see his hips and back bones protruding. He was given water, food, and treatment. Read Scrappy's story.


Winkey
Winkey
Winkey was born with a congenital defect called microphthalmia, a condition in which the eyeball is smaller than normal. He also developed a polyp in his left naris, which was disturbing his breathing and his ability to smell. He had surgery and recovered. Read Winkey's story.


Annabelle

Annabelle is a beautiful Husky puppy with a set of incredible ice-blue eyes. Her owners ran her over in the driveway and said "Annabelle didn’t move in time." When she was finally rescued from them, she had to have her left front leg amputated. She is on a long way to healing and recovery. Read Annabelle's story.


Midnight
Midnight
At five years of age Midnight’s family no longer wanted him. After a week with his foster family, he started having seizures and was taken immediately to an emergency clinic. He had a three inch gash in his side. He was given treatment. He is slowly coming out of his shell and learning to trust humans again. Read Midnight's story.


Angie, The Fairy Dogmother of Dallas

Angie is known by many in the rescue world as the "Fairy Dogmother of Dallas." She walks the talk every day, 365 days a year regardless of the weather. “If I don’t feed them, no one will. I wouldn't sleep well at night knowing they are hungry.” Read Angie's story.


We are sharing Oogy's story as a deeply touching reminder of our mission. Animals Abused & Abandoned, Inc. was founded to help traumatically injured domesticated animals.
