Pit Bulls Against Misinformation-- "We call it "gore porn". Abuse needs to be shared with the appropriate authorities, not "made viral""

So one of the biggest Facebook pages advocating against breed specific legislation and all the misinformation that's generated by pro Bsl advocates has a strange position when it comes to posting and exposing animal abusers in spite of many obvious successes the most recent involving a man throwing scalding water on a cat not only was the abuser brought to justice but the victim was found and rescued as well.

We call it "gore porn". Abuse needs to be shared with the appropriate authorities, not "made viral" in an effort to teach the abuser a lesson through public shaming.

Now I haven't copied all the comments the majority of which seem to disagree with the pages stance on this matter but as you can see 597 people liked this comment out of the total of 183,360 people who like this page and considering the post was published 11 days ago it's fair to say the majority disagree?

It's both troubling and somewhat indicative that this comment by one of their followers recommending and/or advising people to report abuse posts and the people that post them which seems a bit extreme and yet there's no comment or reply from the page admins and as you can see the comment is still there so they either endorse it or they have no admins on the page.

Cornelia Fenenga Moore on everyones FB page/screen, in the upper right hand corner of every post is a tiny, grey downward pointing tailless arrow. click on it and you will find several options at your disposal. one reports the post. use it. do not repost violent or graphic posts, it only gets what the poster wants. report them and block them instead. and if FB finds it abusive, they'll block them and/or their post from everyone.

I've had some personal experience with these people when they used Facebook as a platform to launch a hate campaign & abused Facebook reporting procedures in order to get a victims resource taken down and then posted to the page gloating of their triumph.

I really have to question their values if their against exposing abusers to the point where they actually have their own term for it "gore porn" which seems extremely insensitive to victims to say the very least and coupled with what seem to be some pretty under handed tactics attacking fellow advocates and even rescue operators indicating perhaps they're in it for all the wrong reasons.

Please clarify your position for us all at your earliest possible convenience PBAM.
