LISA PARKER -- charged with Animal Cruelty

An Everett, WA woman named Lisa Parker lit a firestorm of outrage from dog lovers after she posted a picture on Facebook of her dog wearing a soiled pee pad after it peed in the house.

Above she is pictured with Ludo as a puppy

Q13 Fox reported that the Everett City Prosecutor will charge the woman who posted the dog shaming pictures with animal cruelty.

Here is the announcement from the Everett Animal Shelter Facebook page:

“Everett Animal Shelter After reviewing the animal control officer’s report and interviewing witnesses, the City Prosecutor’s Office has decided to file charges of animal cruelty in this case.

This is a misdemeanor crime with a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and/or $1,000 fine.”

You can email Head Prosecutor Hil Kamam athkaman@everettwa.gov to thank him for prosecuting Lisa Parker.

Along with the picture, she wrote, “Successful dog shaming by way of the wearing of the Peepee Hat…

He is finding out … not so bright! I sopped it up, with a peepee pad, before scrubbing it with Oxyclean and vinegar.

He is now wearing this creation.”  She also provided another “expert” tip for potty training a dog:

"Shit in the house, get it stuffed in your mouth and taped shut. Yes, it’s a nasty job but…it works!”

She clearly thought she did nothing wrong because she posted the pictures and bragged about what she did.

Parker wrote: 'Ludo thought it would be a good idea to p*** in the house, five minutes after his goodnight potty run.' Above Ludo is pictured"

In the post, she admitted to putting oxyclean and vinegar on the pad before putting it on his face.

Fortunately the legions of dog lovers went ballistic on Facebook saw what she did and expressed their disgust on her Facebook page, which she later took down, but not before people took screenshots of the vile picture she posted.

They also contacted Everett Animal Control, which said that based on the picture it has opened an animal abuse investigation

Lisa Parker was also ordered to surrender Ludo within 24 hours until after her trial is over.
Videos Parker posted also showed she has at least one other dog and a cat but those animals were not confiscated.

5/5/2016 - Court says woman charged has surrendered Dog.
EVERETT, Wash. – An arrest warrant has been rescinded for an Everett woman charged with animal cruelty after posting photos on her Facebook page that appeared to show her dog with a urine-soaked “peepee hat” over its head.
City of Everett spokesperson Meghan Pembroke said the warrant was issued because the court had ordered Lisa Parker to file a declaration that she’d turned the dog over to either an animal shelter or a friend.
On Thursday, however, Everett police said the order had been quashed and that she was no longer wanted.
After the Facebook post appeared in late February, people began calling animal-control officers. That led to a police investigation, and prosecutors decided to file charges last month.
Animal cruelty is a misdemeanor crime with a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.

Well Lisa has "Ludo" back at home again.
